How does a project with Martin Wetzel Design work?

In short: a project with Martin Wetzel Design runs in five clear phases : enquiry, personal consultation, design briefing, transparent quote, creative execution with feedback rounds, and final preparation of the files.
This process works for graphic design, advertising design, corporate design, logo design, print media, digital media, accessible web design, SEO, shop signage, vehicle wraps and trade fair design in Vienna and the surrounding area.

The 5 phases

The 5 project phases at a glance

A good design project needs creativity as well as structure. That is why every project starts with a clear shared understanding of the goal, target audience, scope, media and schedule.

01

Enquiry and initial consultation

The project process starts with your enquiry. In a personal consultation, I clarify which graphic design, branding, print, digital or web design service you need and what goal your project should achieve.

02

Briefing, target audience and project scope

The conversation results in a precise design briefing. It records the target audience, corporate design, colours, fonts, desired style, formats, content, technical requirements and lines of communication.

03

Quote, schedule and commission

After the briefing, you receive a tailored quote with the scope of services, costs, rounds of revisions, deliverables and a realistic schedule. Work begins once you have commissioned the project in writing.

04

Concept, design and feedback

Now the research, concept, layouts and design variants are created. Your feedback is incorporated into the development so that the result suits your brand professionally, visually and strategically.

05

Finalisation, open files and aftercare

Once you give your approval, all files are professionally prepared for print, web or digital use. For completed projects, you receive the open project files free of charge, provided no licence or third-party rights prevent this.

FAQ
to the project process

Every project runs in five phases: enquiry and free initial consultation, briefing with target audience and project scope, quote with fixed price and schedule, design with your feedback and, finally, the handover of all finished files. This way, you know at every step what comes next.

Yes. The initial consultation is free and without obligation. We clarify your goal, the scope and your preferred deadline. On this basis, I prepare a quote for you, and you can decide at your leisure.

Helpful things are a short description of your business and your target audience, your existing logo and colours, examples you like, and the formats you need and your preferred deadline. If anything is missing, we work it out together during our conversation.

The quote includes the scope of services, the fixed price, the number of rounds of revisions, the deliverables you receive and a realistic schedule. Work only begins once you have commissioned it in writing.

Three rounds of revisions are included in every project. Your feedback goes straight into the next version. If you need more, we discuss it in advance so there are no surprises.

A logo is often ready within a few days; a website takes two to eight weeks, depending on its scope. You receive the exact schedule with the quote. Things move fastest when content and feedback arrive promptly.

Yes. Once the project is complete, you receive all files for print, web and digital use, including the open project files, free of charge. The only exceptions are items subject to third-party licences, such as purchased fonts or stock photos. Unrestricted usage rights for Austria are included; international rights are set out in the contract.

No. In Vienna and the surrounding area, I am happy to visit you in person. Projects throughout Austria, Germany and beyond run just as reliably by phone, video call and email.

If you wish, I will continue to support you, for example with maintaining your website, new print media or adjustments to your brand presence. You always have the same contact person. For an initial consultation, you can reach me via the contact form or by phone on +43 660 221 1319.
